 Check out Melissa Bates as the countdown to the Olympic Trials continues, action moves to Irvine for the Speedo Grand Challenge, the event, runs Friday - Sunday at the William Woollett Jr Aquatics Center.

 Last week, Tara Kirk finished taping an episode of the hit TLC reality makeover show "What Not To Wear". As is part of the show's set up, Tara had to turn over her old wardrobe, shop for a new one with $5000. She also received a hair and makeup makeover.
Her friends teamed up with her sponsor, Bank of America, to surprise her with the opportunity. No air date
for the episode has been set, but one would imagine that it will air before the Olympic Games in early August.

There's been a lot of chatter re: the new Speedo LZR suit and how much of an advantage those who wear it hold.
It's putting athletes who possess contracts with other swimwear companies (e.g. Nike, TYR, Arena) in a unenviable position heading into the Beijing Games and the selection meets.
